Life in a château also flourished along the banks of the Meuse River.

And with style, too! Older than the Middle Ages, the château was reimagined during the Renaissance. Its gardens are part of its renown: designed in the style of Le Nôtre, they bring to mind Versailles and Chambord with every turn of their magnificent pathways.

Once the summer residence of the Dukes of Beaufort-Spontin, this elegant home used to host royal guests in a refined and cosmopolitan interior. Today, it's your turn to wander through the period furnishings, fountains, and three-century-old orange trees!

Discover this as part of our combined Dinant-Freyr + Visit of the castle,

But that's not all—you can also enjoy:

A Dinant-Anseremme cruise (45min)

For a glimpse of the most stunning river landscapes of Dinant, perfect if you're short on time to wander.

A Treasure Quest at Dinant Aventure  (2h00 - min. 20 pers.)

After the structured beauty of the gardens, immerse yourself in the wild charm of unspoiled nature.

Our Recommendation

The castle offers a wonderful opportunity to delve into the history of the site as well as the surrounding valley. Adults and teenagers will likely find it fascinating, particularly the hedge maze and the three-century-old orange trees, a treat for green-fingered enthusiasts.

The castle is also an exceptional setting for receptions and romantic photoshoots, perfect for newlyweds. Imagine a seamless journey from the church to a reception aboard the Le Sax boat, for example.
