WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE OFFERED AT AQUA SPOT?
We offer three water activities on the Meuse in Dinant:
- Electric boats without a license (up to 7 people)
- Kayak (single or two-seater)
DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE OR CAN WE RENT ON SITE?
We strongly recommend booking in advance, to ensure that the equipment is available at the desired time.
Depending on availability and the time of year, it is possible to rent on site.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard), mobile payment and cash.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER?
In case of light rain, activities are still possible.
In case of "dangerous" weather conditions (thunderstorms, strong winds), we reserve the right to cancel or postpone your booking. In this case, we will contact you to arrange a rescheduling or refund.
ARE THE ACTIVITIES SUPERVISED OR AUTONOMOUS?
Our activities are autonomous. Before your departure, we explain how the equipment works and the navigation rules to guarantee your safety.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES?
Electric boats: An adult of at least 18 years old must always be present on board.
Kayaking on the Meuse: Minimum 5 years old in a two-seater if accompanied by an adult.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED ON THE BOATS?
Electric boats: Yes, dogs are accepted but must be taken on board by the owners. Our staff abstains for safety reasons.
Kayaking on the Meuse: Yes.
ARE THERE TOILETS ON SITE?
Yes.
WHAT IS THE AUTHORIZED ROUTE FOR EACH ACTIVITY?
- Electric boats: Circuit between the Saint-Jean bridge in Anseremme and the Leffe/Bouvignes dam.
The loop is 9 km long and can be completed in about 1 hour. - Kayak on the Meuse: 1.6 km circuit, between the Saint-Jean bridge in Anseremme and the viaduct (beyond that, there is an area reserved for fast boats, where access is forbidden to kayaks and paddle bikes).
Questions specific to license-free electric boats
IS RENTING AN ELECTRIC BOAT FOR 1 HOUR ENOUGH?
Renting an electric boat for 1 hour is enough to do the 9 km loop. It is possible to book for 2 hours if you wish to extend the experience, however the navigable area remains unchanged.
CAN YOU RENT AN ELECTRIC BOAT FOR LESS THAN AN HOUR?
No, the minimum rental period is 1 hour.
CAN YOU BRING FOOD AND DRINKS ON ELECTRIC BOATS?
Yes, drinks and food are allowed on board. Garbage bins are available on the quay for waste.
Please note that in the event of damage to the boat, we reserve the right to claim an additional cost.
CAN THERE BE MORE THAN 7 PEOPLE ON AN ELECTRIC BOAT (INCLUDING BABIES/DOGS)?
No, for security reasons, the maximum capacity is 7 people, all souls combined.
CAN WE REACH THE CENTRE OF DINANT?
Yes, it is possible to sail to the center of Dinant with your boat. However, it is forbidden to disembark for a walk. If you'd like to explore the center of Dinant on foot, it's about a 20-minute walk from the Aqua Spot.
ARE ELECTRIC BOATS ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY (PMR)?
It depends on the level of disability. We invite you to contact us to evaluate the possibilities and offer you the best possible experience.
CAN I TAKE A STROLLER ON THE BOAT?
No, we recommend a maxi-cozy instead. You can safely leave your stroller at the reception desk during your activity.
CAN YOU GO THROUGH THE LOCKS WITH AN ELECTRIC BOAT?
No, the locks are not accessible with our electric boats.
IS THERE A RISK OF GETTING SEASICK ON THE ELECTRIC BOAT?
The water of the Meuse is very calm, and there is hardly any movement that can cause seasickness.
CAN WE STOP?
No, it is forbidden to moor anywhere other than at the departure dock.
